7th Street Revamp Connects Key Destinations
Last week, St. Louis civic and business leaders celebrated the newly improved 7th Street corridor, a major step forward in the ongoing improvements Downtown. The upgraded 7th Street now features protected bike and pedestrian lanes, refreshed sidewalks and crosswalks, new trees and lighting, smoother pavement, and smarter traffic flow — creating a safer, more inviting connection between Ballpark Village and Washington Avenue.
“As we add these improvements and amenities, we’re seeing a Downtown that’s more vibrant, more welcoming, and more alive,” said Kurt Weigle, Chief Downtown Officer for Greater St. Louis, Inc. “Revitalization won’t happen all at once, but projects like this show we’re making real progress.” (downtownstl.org)
