Religious Convention Will Bring 60,000+ to Downtown St. Louis

One of America’s largest and most influential religious conventions — Church of God in Christ’s Holy Convocation — will return to the Dome at America’s Center from 2026 to 2028. The conventions will bring an estimated $250 million to the local economy over the 3-year run. 
 
“We are excited to return the Holy Convocation to St. Louis, a city that warmly embraced our church for a decade,” said Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard, leader of the Church of God in Christ. “St. Louis provided us with the infrastructure, hospitality, and resources necessary to host this significant gathering. (KTVI/Fox 2) 
 
This week, Explore St. Louis also announced Discover Puerto Rico’s Brad Dean will serve as its new president and CEO.

Work is underway to rebrand the home of St. Louis CITY SC to Energizer Park before the Saturday, Feb. 22 Major League Soccer home opener. The transformation follows the October 2024 announcement of a naming rights agreement with St. Louis-based battery maker Energizer Holdings. CITY SC and Energizer are united by a shared vision to connect with soccer’s passionate fans while helping power St. Louis’ continued revitalization. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

The countdown is on for the return of a marathon reimagined, the Greater St. Louis Marathon. Held in Downtown St. Louis, April 24-26, the race weekend has something for everyone — a 1-mile family fun run, and 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 races.
