The Park Pacific building at 13th and Olive streets is under new ownership. GCP Pacific purchased the building from developer Steve Smith, citing recent significant real estate investments Downtown as reasons to be bullish on its success.
“Our Downtown is already historic, grand, and beautiful,” said Daniel Weisman, asset manager for Park Pacific. “The energy is also shifting, and there are plenty of good citizens and private investors excited to be part of a Downtown St. Louis turnaround.” (STLToday)
Kurt Weigle Wants to Change How You Feel About Downtown
Chief Downtown Officer for Greater St. Louis, Inc., Kurt Weigle has been working for the last three years toward his dream of a bustling Downtown St. Louis — and he’s seeing progress.
“I think that the narrative, the stories people are starting to hear and tell about Downtown St. Louis has changed,” he said. (St. Louis Business Journal)
Through Jan. 11, 2026, Kiener Plaza will once again transform into a winter wonderland. This annual Downtown tradition, organized by Gateway Arch Park Foundation, is bigger and better than ever for its 10th anniversary, with your favorite Winterfest traditions and an exciting schedule of new activities, including the Greater St. Louis, Inc. Now open at 1933 Washington Avenue, Ozzy’s Market is described as a “Bodega-style restaurant” with a retro feel, serving breakfast and lunch fare, like sandwiches and burgers. The restaurant will also be stocked with household items, snacks, and grab-and-go meals, with beer and wine to come in the near future. The team behind Ozzy’s is hoping to serve the resurging Downtown West neighborhood with their new “bodega-cafe”, open Monday – Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., serving food until 2 p.m. (Take a peek inside.)
