Gateway Arch Celebrates 60 Years

St. Louis’ most iconic landmark celebrated its 60th birthday this week. The Gateway Arch was officially completed on Oct. 28, 1965. Visit Missouri and Gateway Arch Park Foundation celebrated the milestone with a three-day celebration that included events, activities, special guests, a spectacular fireworks show — and even a gathering of the Arch’s original builders.

“The Arch isn't just a landmark—it's part of who we are,” said David Grove, president and CEO of Jefferson National Parks Association. (National Parks Traveler)
