A NEW TRAJECTORY: GABE GORE DETAILS SIX MONTHS OF PROGRESS FOR CIRCUIT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
After only six months on the job, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore is making significant progress. In a report he shared publicly on Tuesday, Gore has hired 24 assistant prosecutors, worked through thousands of backlogged cases, and charged 46% more cases than his predecessor during the same time the year prior.
“If there was going to be a story written about my first six months in the Circuit Attorney’s office, it would be a story of people answering the call to public service and collaboration and an embracement of this office by community partners,” Gore said during a press conference. “Those efforts are all about one thing, and that’s achieving a higher level of public safety for the entire St. Louis region.”
Later in the week, Gore, who was appointed to his position earlier in the year by Missouri Governor Mike Parson, announced his decision to run for a full term in the office next year.
