PUBLIC-PRIVATE MOMENTUM: BRICKLINE GREENWAY GETS $15M STATE FUNDING BOOST
On the heels of a prominent feature in the New York Times, Great Rivers Greenway’s Brickline Greenway project got another boost this week, when it secured significant funding from the State of Missouri Capital Improvement Budget for 2024.
“This $15 million investment provides powerful momentum for the Brickline Greenway, which has been envisioned with input from thousands of residents, businesses, and organizations who understand how civic infrastructure boosts the economy of our city and our state,” said Susan Trautman, CEO of Great Rivers Greenway, a Greater St. Louis, Inc. Member.
INVEST STL, WELLS FARGO INVEST $1M IN CITY HOMEOWNERS
For some city residents, a gift of $20,000 for home improvement projects from nonprofit Invest STL is life changing. Funded by a donation from Wells Fargo, an executive-level member of the GSL Chair’s Council, the $1 million “Rooted” initiative helps Black residents of St. Louis City’s West End and Visitation Park neighborhoods build wealth to stay in their homes and grow their neighborhoods.
FUTURESCOT: ST. LOUIS A “VIABLE OPENING” FOR SCOTTISH TECH
A recent BioSTL trip to Scotland aimed to build relationships with the goal of creating a stronger regional innovation ecosystem. For three days, BioSTL CEO Donn Rubin traveled between Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee, meeting with Scottish healthcare and biotech startups that could potentially enhance St. Louis’ healthcare, agritech, and food tech sectors.

As the summer season kicks off, Anheuser-Busch — an executive-level member of the GSL Chair’s Council — is launching a new campaign that honors the people and partners that help the company make America’s most loved beers — including many based in St. Louis, the original headquarters for the company.
